Rev. Tsumura conducted a Shinto fire ceremony April 17 in Bowling Green, Ohio, for DOWA THT America INC.

On April 16, I departed San Francisco airport. I changed to an airplane in Cleveland. The plane was late for Tornado, and finally it couldn't fly. I drove a car to go to Bowling Green at 12:00, and at the hotel arrived at 3:00.

On April 17 the ceremony drew Mr. Sadaharu Niratani, chairman of DOWA Mining Co. Mr. Takashi Hino, Managing Director of DOWA Mining Co, Mr. Susumu Okada, president of DOWA International Corpo. NY, Mr. Yoshihito Yoshino, president of DOWA THT America INC, Mr. Susumu Morita, Vice president of MKK Technologies, INC, Mr. Wes Hoffman, Mayor of Bowling Green and 50 other participants. At 11:00, Mr. Niratani speeched, After the speech, I started fire ceremony. After I recited a prayer "Norito", I purified three fireplaces to use salt. Then, Tamagushi-Hairei (offering sacred branches of evergreen to the Kami) were Mr. Niratani, Mr. Hino, Mr. Yoshino and two foreign employees of DOWA THT America. They prayed for safety of works and company employees, and the company's prosperity and development. After the ceremony, three fireplaces were ignitioned to switch on by Mr. Niratani, Mr. Hino and Mr. Yoshino. After the ignition, Mr. Yoshino gave congratulatory address. Then, Shinto fire ceremony ended.
