cave students volunteering

Annually, more than 2,000 students provide 60,000 plus hours of community service through Community Action Volunteers in Education (CAVE). CAVE gives you the opportunity to serve the community while building job skills and making friends.

Campus Values

At Chico State, we value a commitment to service, to academic inquiry and discovery, and to being an active and positive presence in our community. We share a powerful connection between the campus, the community, the region, and our alumni. Small wonder that many who graduate have a hard time leaving, and after they’ve gone, long to find a way back to Chico—where people are genuine, life is simpler, and opportunities abound.
