Academic Probation, Disqualification & Reinstatement
You are placed on academic probation any time your cumulative or CSU, Chico grade point average falls below 2.0.
If you are on Academic Probation, or at risk of being disqualified, you might consider repeating a course with forgiveness. Please note that no more than three courses may be repeated with forgiveness at CSU, Chico.
You may become subject to academic disqualification while you are on academic probation. If disqualified, you will not be allowed to attend the University for at least one year. Speak with an advisor in Advising and Orientation to learn the specifics and to address any options you may have.
Reinstatement to the University
Recently Disqualified? In order to meet with an academic advisor about your individual situation, you must first attend a "Disqualified-What's Next" workshop to learn about your alternatives as well as timelines and procedures for appealing for reinstatement.
