I am originally from rural Northern California where I was born and raised. I began my educational journey by attending CSU, Chico as a transfer student from Sonoma State. While attending Chico State, I worked in construction as well as a Tutor and Mentor for various Pre-College Programs assisting low income and first generation students like myself. After graduating from Chico State, I continued onto California State University, Bakersfield where I received my Master of Arts Degree in Sociology. Upon graduation, I returned home to CSU, Chico and became an Assistant Resident Community Coordinator for University Housing. After a short time there, I once again sought out to pursue my passion in providing an educational path for low income and first generation students. Now that I am back at Chico State, I am eager to continue this work as an Academic Advisor.
