Using their iPads, AeL faculty have created team video reports documenting their learning through the Academy.

NCAT Models and Resources

The National Center for Academic Transformation (NCAT) hosts a wealth of resources on the topic of large-course redesign, including their six identified models of course delivery. Our Academy e-Learning provides an opportunity for faculty explore one of these models.

Rubric for Online Instruction

Courses redesigned through the Academy will use the Rubric for Online Instruction as a guide for development and as an instrument to measure the effectiveness of online course components. It is hoped that courses will be delivered, evaluated, revised, and eventually nominated by their faculty for the Exemplary Online Instruction recognition.

All Academy participants are expected to develop new course materials which use technology to facilitate accessibility for students with disabilities. The TLP website contains tutorials, best practices, and templates for faculty to ensure their materials meet these standards. Universal Design for Learning is an instructional strategy to help faculty think about what materials and methods can address a broad range of learners.
