Choose Chico!

You are invited to attend Choose Chico! Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. This premier open house offers admitted students and their guests an opportunity to experience why we think Chico State is the place for you! Activities for the day include:

  • Official President’s Welcome
  • Meet with academic department representatives and learn about your major
  • Tour the campus and residence halls, plus receive housing information
  • Meet with student support representatives, including Student Activities, Academic Advising, Career Placement, Financial Aid & Scholarship, Housing, Honors, and Admissions
  • Visit our Student Involvement Fair

Online registration for Choose Chico is now closed, but walk-ins will be accommodated. When you arrive, please visit one of the check-in tables located near the Bell Memorial Union (BMU).

Check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. Please bring a printed copy of your Confirmation Page with you (printed at the time of registration or copy that will be emailed to you prior to the event). Check-in tables will be located near the Bell Memorial Union (BMU).

Getting to Chico

Where to Park?

We do not require a parking permit for this day, so you are welcome to park in any of our campus parking lots (PDF). Alternate parking includes street and/or free metered parking around the perimeter of campus in the downtown area.

Looking for lunch options on campus?

Associated Students Dining Services has you covered!  The Marketplace Café located in the Bell Memorial Union (BMU) will be open 11am – 2pm. Urban Roots, also located in the BMU will be open 11am – 2pm.  Common Grounds, located in the BMU, will be serving your favorite coffee drinks 8am - 3pm.  Sutter Dining Hall, located in Sutter Hall, will be serving brunch from 10am – 1pm.  Tickets may be purchased at the door for $10/person, credit card only.
