Meet Your Tour Guides

Hello there, my name is Vanessa Vasquez. I am an optimistic young lady who was born in a small town called, Red Bluff, and was raised in an even smaller town called Gerber, yes like the baby food, and no, it is not made there. Chico State is around 40 minutes away from Gerber. I love the fact that I am able to enjoy a well rounded and friendly community, beautiful outdoor scenery, the classes and programs I need to succeed, and a short drive from the ones I love.

I am currently a second year here at Chico, and so far I am enjoying every moment here on campus, from clubs assisting our local community to having the help we need to succeed, to classrooms where we meet and learn new things every day. I have chosen to major in business, as well as minor in Spanish. I hope to study abroad in Spain within the next two years, and expand my knowledge for the business world.

I am an ETS Alumni mentor, also known as the Jumpstart program. I do plan on becoming more involved with clubs and organizations, such as CAVE, along with working here on campus in the Office of Admissions. I love the variety of things Chico has to offer, and I could not have made a better choice when it came to furthering my education.  I look forward to showing you around our campus.
