Jack Rawlins believes we can save the planet, and that education is key in making this happen. That is why he has established financial awards for students demonstrating leadership in environmental activism.

It's going to be a big job, and I won't be here to see how it works out, but at least I will have done everything I could to get it going,” says Jack. “People don't realize how much influence one person can have.

In November, Taylor Bass received the first Jack Rawlins Environmental Award for $10,000. Taylor says Jack is an inspiration. “This award gives me the opportunity to apply my education to something that will make a difference.”

Jack's dedication and gifts to the University are having a profound impact. If you wish to know how you can make a difference, please call the Office of University Advancement at 530-898-5297.
