College Initiatives

1. Strengthening our Math and Science Education at both the Primary and the Secondary Level, with a focus on student recruitment from the North State and helping to meet the increasing demand for qualified math and science teaching professionals at the secondary level.
2. Recruiting, retaining, and graduating quality students in Applied Health, Science, and Math.
3. Advancing science literacy for the general public and across all university curricula with a focus on an Interdisciplinary approach to science literacy.

Northern California Natural History Museum

NCNHM is committed to:

1. Constructing a museum building and educational programs to serve science and mathematics education throughout the North State.
2. Developing interactive exhibits about the natural history of the North State, including its geologic past, the diverse ecosystems of the present, and issues that face us for the future.
3. Developing age-appropriate educational resource materials related to the natural world for regional teachers.
