Christie Noble, Agriculture Business

Christie Noble, Agriculture BusinessIf you walk into the University Farm office, chances are that you will be greeted by the friendly face of Ag Business major Christie Noble.

The 21-year-old senior is excited about the prospect of graduating in May 2005 and admits that she "keeps meaning to make little pages and count down the days" until graduation. The University Farm staff nominated Noble as the Ag Business star student, as according to Chris Gibson, Noble "handles difficult situations with ease, good judgment and a cheerful attitude."

Noble’s tenure at Chico State has been an active one; in addition to her work at the farm, she is the president of Society of Agricultural Managers and a member of the Dean’s List. She has completed internships with the California Wheat Commission and American Ag Credit. Noble is thankful for the experience she has gained while at Chico State especially the opportunities with "planning events and managing people" in a safe environment. Noble especially thanks Prof. Annette Levi for "getting me involved in stuff and keeping me busy."

After she graduates Noble will look for a marketing job in the ag industry. Noble isn’t quite sure where the future will take her and she chuckles when she says that her 10-year goal is to "have a job and live in a house."
