The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business

Students giving presentation on almondsThe bachelor of science in agricultural business combines marketing, labor, accounting, and financial and agriculture production. It provides students with an excellent and comprehensive background in business theory combined with a working knowledge of production agriculture. The emphasis of this degree program is to prepare students for entry-level management positions or for graduate school. Specialized subject areas include agricultural marketing, agricultural finance and appraisal, agricultural business management, and international agriculture.

Co-curricular Activities: Student clubs and teams

Internships: Students are required to complete an internship as a requirement for the Agricultural Business degree.  Internships can be done in a variety of agriculture related fields including agribusiness, animal science, and plant science.  These internships provide students with an opportunity to network with industry contacts and gain invaluable experience. Service and Outreach Opportunities: Agricultural business students have the opportunity to participate in numerous service activities within the College of Agriculture and throughout the campus and local communities.

Career Opportunities: Students can enter multiple facets of agriculture business and economics following graduation.  Examples of career opportunities include agricultural production management, food systems, agricultural marketing or sales, agricultural economics, natural resources management, public policy, and agricultural finance.
