Personal Information

Dr. Jacob Brimlow is a Chico State graduate, having obtained his B.A. in Economics in 1998.  He went on to earn both his M.A. in Economics and PhD in Environmental and Resource Economics at North Carolina State University.  Jake's research interests include the effects of voluntary, conservation-related land use restrictions on the market value of productive farmland.  He grew up in Humboldt County, surrounded by the timber industry and Northern California agriculture. His research includes determinants and effects of farmland preservation and local food system development.
