Personal Information

Dr. Cynthia A. Daley completed her BS in animal science at the University of Illinois and her PhD at the University of California, Davis in 1997.

Research and Professional Interests

Aside from her duties in the classroom, committee work and advising, Dr. Daley has been involved in a number of research activities to enhance and promote sustainable agriculture both locally and regionally, including sustainable waste management practices to reduce net nutrient loss from intensive livestock operations; nutritional aspects of labeling and marketing grass-fed beef; and more recently has been spearheading the organic certification of 85 acres at the University Farm together with Lou Ackerman, crops manager, from the Agriculture Teaching and Research Center to develop a Center for Organic Dairy Production in the West for the purposes of research and education.

Dr. Daley serves on various committees.

Additionally, Daley serves on the advisory board for the Western Regional Organic Dairy Producers Alliance.Additionally, Daley serves on the advisory board for the Western Regional Organic Dairy Producers Alliance, produces their quarterly newsletter and maintains their Web site at www.wodpa.org.
