Golfers Raise $46,000 for College of Agriculture

The final figures are in, and the 15th Annual Superior Ag/Tri Counties Bank Golf Classic held on June 14 at Butte Creek Country Club raised more than $46,000 for scholarships and academic programs in the College of Agriculture.

Beautiful weather, a sold-out player roster, and the support of dozens of sponsors and volunteers helped make the tournament a success.

The Musco Olive Products team consisting of Dennis Burreson, Heath Burreson, Shane Burreson, Greg Eastman, Chad Johnson, and  Steve Wolfgram won the tournament.  Alex Compton with AVAG, Inc. won the grand prize raffle drawing for a trip for four on the Tri Counties Bank plane to play a round of golf at Poppy Hills, plus $600 cash.

The very popular tournament always fills up fast, and this year the teams were full within weeks of registration opening.  Tournament Chair Renee Hagins chalks its popularity up to the commitment its organizers and volunteers have to putting on a fun and well-run tournament.  "The tournament continues to get better and better each year, and this year was no exception.  My heartfelt thanks go out to our committee, the college staff, and most importantly, our participants and supporters that helped make this tournament one of the best ever."
