“Aggie Ladies” Shaving Their Heads for St. Baldricks

California State University, Chico College of Agriculture students Audra Harl, Elizabeth Hurd, and Suzanne Perrin are shaving their heads on April 30, 2011 to raise money and create awareness for childhood cancer.
They will be the only women shaving their heads for the St. Baldricks venue at CSU, Chico, so they created the team “Aggie Ladies.” The team hopes to generate $1,000 that will be donated to the St. Baldricks Foundation to fund research for childhood cancer. The event will be held at UHUB on the CSU, Chico campus. Harl will be the first of the Aggie Ladies to shave her head at 2:15 p.m., followed by Perrin at 2:30 p.m. and Hurd at 2:45 p.m.
The event is held in coordination with the St. Baldricks Foundation. The money the Aggie Ladies raise will benefit research for childhood cancer. Perrin said, “Childhood cancer doesn’t care if you are a boy or girl, or what race you are. I am excited to be able to do something to help research and conquer childhood cancer.”
