Chico State Ag Hosts Annual Alumni Reunions
The California State University, Chico College of Agriculture invites graduates and friends to attend alumni reunions at two upcoming agriculture-related events. The 10th Annual Chico State Ag Alumni Reunion at the Red Bluff Bull and Gelding Sale will be held on Jan. 29, 2010, 4-7:30 p.m. in the Tehama District Fairgrounds Cafeteria. In addition, the 8th Annual Colusa Alumni Breakfast is set during the Colusa Farm Show on Feb.3, 2010 at 7 a.m. in the Saint Bernadette's Hall at 745 Ware Street in Colusa.
The Red Bluff event on Jan. 29 will include a live and silent auction to raise money for Chico State Ag Alumni scholarships and other academic programs in the College of Agriculture. As always a no-host bar and refreshments, including grilled sausage from the Chico State Meats Laboratory, will be provided. There is no charge for admission to the social.
The Colusa Farm Show Breakfast on Feb. 3 is a group effort between the College of Agriculture, California Agricultural Leadership Foundation and Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman is the invited speaker. Breakfast tickets are $25 each and can be reserved by calling the University Farm at 530-898-6343. Proceeds from the Colusa Alumni Breakfast are split between the College of Agriculture and the California Agricultural Leadership Program.
Each year the alumni socials are a wonderful opportunity to bring graduates together to mingle, reminisce and network with fellow industry leaders while raising money to support scholarships and academic programs in the College of Agriculture.
