Senior animal science major Kate Carslon is the first to receive a new $2,500 award from California State University, Chico for students who are passionate about the organic dairy industry and look to pursue a career in the industry after graduation. In addition to Carlson’s $2,500 award, seven other CSU, Chico students split a total of $2,500. Ciara Babcock, Elmer Bustillos, Zach Cahill, Clinton Lundell, Jack Strozzi, Sierra Todd and Jackie Wagner were also recognized for their dedication to the organic dairy industry.
