College of Ag Hosts Spring Tours for Potential Students

The California State University, Chico College of Agriculture hosted Spring Tours for 45 potential students and their families on Saturday, March 26, 2011.

The tours featured the University Farm, CSU, Chico campus, and the Agriculture Theme House.

The students and their families arrived at the University Farm around 8:45 a.m. for a quick introduction to the program and a meet-and-greet with faculty. Afterwards, the students were divided into three groups and given a walking tour of the farm.

After the farm tour, the students headed to the CSU, Chico campus to tour the Wildcat Recreational Center, campus, and the Agriculture Theme House. A few Agriculture Theme House residents opened up their doors for the potential students to see the housing first hand.

Outreach Coordinator Audrey Denney said, “Spring Tours are an important opportunity to showcase our college and all it has to offer to potential students.”
