Forget the Bull, it’s all about the Pink
Forget the Bull, it’s all about the Pink
With pink boot in hand California State University, Chico students headed out to volunteer at the third annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink fundraiser. Amidst the mutton bustin', cowboy poker and bull ridin', 23 CSU, Chico students raised roughly $1,200 in the stands of the Diamond W National Bull-riding Championships. The fundraiser is sponsored by a coalition of Enloe's Cancer Connections program, the Think Pink team of Butte County and countless volunteers.
For the past two years, College of Agriculture students have volunteered to pass the pink boot to raise awareness and funds for those affected by breast cancer. In spite of the rough economy, Saturday, Sept. 19 was a testament to how many families empathize with the struggle of breast cancer.
