BBQ Welcomes Record Number of Ag Majors

The California State University, Chico College of Agriculture held its annual “Welcome Back Barbecue” on Sept. 1, 2011, at the University Farm Arboretum. This year’s barbecue had the honor of welcoming a record 191 new agriculture majors to the CSU, Chico campus.

The barbecue serves as a fun and casual opportunity for students to mingle and meet fellow agriculture majors and faculty. The College of Agriculture’s eight clubs and organizations used the event as a chance to recruit new members. By setting up informational booths and advertising their goals for the coming year, it gives each student a chance to see all the opportunities available in the college.
