SCADA for Management

March 9, 2016 (12-4 p.m.)

This half-day workshop (12-4 p.m.) is intended for district managers/engineers involved in planning or implementing SCADA systems. The workshop covers: project specifications and enforcement; district staff involvement; implementation and operational risk assessment and management. Cybersecurity awareness and policies will also be covered.

Electricity Basics

March 10, 2016 (8 a.m. - noon)

This half-day workshop focuses on hands-on learning and is intended for irrigation district field staff working with single phase 110VAC and 12/24VDC circuits common in monitoring and control circuitry. Topics include: practical electricity calculations; electricity measurements; batteries and sources of power. This workshop would be an ideal introductory or refresher for the participants of the upcoming SCADA short course.

Advanced Canal Operations

July 12-13, 2016 

This is a 2-day workshop focusing on flow measurement and data collection best practices as it relates to canal operations. Topics include SBx7-7, demonstrations of meters and pipelines, and field exercises on how to measure flow rate.
