The shop is literally the motor that keeps the University Farm in operation. The shop has two full-time mechanics that maintain and fix all of the farm equipment, and if the need arises for the creative design of a piece of equipment they are onboard to design and create what ever is needed to complete the job.
Not only is it a machine shop but like the other facets of the farm it is also an educational tool where students have the opportunity to work side by side with the knowledgeable staff.
