Background:
Starting in 1999, the graduate students of the Anthropology Department at California State University, Chico began hosting an annual forensics conference. The aim of the conference was to bring top names in the field of forensics to the college to share their knowledge with the local community. National and international presenters are brought in in order to partake in this event. After 2003 the conference took a four year hiatus. Then in 2007 AGSA brought back this tradition and hopes to continue it for many years to come.
