Doug Guerrero to be Awarded Honorary Degree
Community partner and concrete industry leader Doug Guerrero will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (LHD) degree during Commencement on Sunday, May 21, 2017. This degree recognizes Guerrero's extraordinary dedication and service to the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program and its students. Guerrero was instrumental in establishing the first CIM degree program in the Western US—making Chico State home to one of only four CIM programs in the country. Read more here.

Alumni Spotlight: Sean Woulfe ('16)
As a Chico State freshman, Sean Woulfe was laser-focused on getting a business degree but stumped on which business-related specialization to pursue. With some ingenuity, Woulfe found both his specialization—entrepreneurship—and ended up founding a company designed to help other business students determine their professional paths. The company, Biz Talks, hosts an annual event on campus that draws hundreds of Chico State students who are eager to hear influential business alumni express from their hearts why they love what they do. Read more about Biz Talks here.
