Student Spotlight - Katie Rodgers

Katie Rodgers
Katie Rodgers is a graduating senior working towards her Bachelor's in Recreation Administration with an option in event management. She transferred to Chico State in Spring 2011, and has become very involved with the campus and the community. When she joined the Recreation Department, Rodgers found that volunteer work was the best way to meet new people and network with professionals. After two and a half years at Chico State, she is now graduating with more than 700 hours of volunteer experience and has enjoyed every minute.

Says Rodgers, “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time and experience here at Chico State. I have made great friends, had some amazing opportunities, and gained enough knowledge to guide me into my future.”

Following graduation, Rodgers will marry in August and will start her new life in Clarksville, Tennessee as a military spouse. She plans to spend the next three years in Clarksville, and hopes to find a career in the event industry. Her career goal is to work in Nashville with music festivals.
