Sue Anderson, Director
Susan Linders Anderson is the director of Alumni and Parent Relations at CSU, Chico. She also oversees the University's annual commencement exercises. In a previous life she spent more than 15 years in sales and marketing, primarily in the cable television industry. In addition to serving as the executive director of the Chico State Alumni Association she has served on numerous nonprofit boards and has a special interest in local animal welfare issues.
Polly Crabtree, Associate Director
Polly Crabtree was hired as the assistant director of Alumni and Parent Relations in 2001 and was promoted to associate director in 2006. She graduated from Chico State in 1984 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and received her master's degree in political science in 2009. She has a background in management, sales, and marketing.
Shari Maurseth, Coordinator of Alumni Engagement
Shari Maurseth has been the coordinator of alumni engagement for the Chico State Alumni Association since 2007. She graduated from North Dakota State University in 1996 with a double major in English and speech communication and also worked for the NDSU Alumni Association.
Barbara LaRue, Office Manager
Barbara LaRue started in the office December 2006. She provides staff support and helps coordinate the University's undergraduate commencement exercises and other Alumni Office special events. She moved to Chico from Southern California where she was registrar and secretary to the assistant principal at Alessandro High School in Hemet, California.
Sara Johnson, Student Intern
Sara began working at the Alumni and Parent Relations Office in May 2010. In the Fall of 2011 she will complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Administration with the options of Special Events & Tourism and Community & Commercial Recreation, as well as a minor in Foodservice Administration. As the student intern she will be responsible for planning events, assisting in the RECR 474 class, and providing information about Alumni and Parent Relations.
Megan Miller, Student Assistant
Meg Miller joined the office of Alumni and Parent Relations in June 2011 as a student assistant. In May 2012 she will be graduating with a degree in Recreation Administration with a double option of Resort and Lodging Management & Special Events. After graduation Meg plans to move to Rome to work in a family friends hotel, and see where life in Europe takes her.
Madelyn Rainey, Student Assistant
Madelyn joined the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations as a student assistant in June 2011. She is starting her senior year here at Chico State in the fall of 2011. She will be graduating in the spring of 2012 as a Recreation Major with an option in Special Events and Tourism. In her spare time she likes to be surrounded by family and friends, run, swim, and be outdoors. Her goal after graduation is to be an event coordinator for a National Sports team either with the NFL or MLB.
Elyse West, Student Assistant
Elyse West joined the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations in January 2011. She is responsible for assisting with alumni membership and events, and providing office support. In May 2011, she will earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Administration: Special Events, as well as a Business Minor in Managing for Sustainability.
Hannah Dondero, Student Web Assistant
Hannah Dondero joined the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations in June, 2011. She is responsible for the maintenance of the Alumni Association website as well as other graphic design projects. She is a Communication Design major, with a minor in Fine Arts. She has been the Vice President of AIGA Chico State for over a year, a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters for over 3 years, and has been on the Dean’s List every semester at Chico State. A few of her extra curricular activities include Bikram Yoga, Figure Drawing, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. When she graduates in Fall 2011, she plans to travel to Chile to meet her extended family and further her Spanish speaking skills. She hopes to one day reside and work as a Graphic Designer in beautiful San Francisco, California.
