Caution: Ice on Campus Sidewalks and Surrounding Areas

The Department of Environmental Health and Safety would like to remind the campus community to use caution when walking to, from, and on campus during the winter months. Sidewalks, bridges, and other walkways can become very slippery due to frost or ice. Areas that are shaded may remain iced longer than those exposed to the sun.

To improve surface friction and avoid slips and falls; low-heeled, non-slip footwear is advised. Please contact Facilities Management Services at 898-6222 if you notice any large or  substantial areas of ice on campus walkways.
