Summer Calculus Boot Camp Students in Need of Housing

Students who will be participating in the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Summer Calculus Boot Camp are in need of faculty and staff housing sponsors.

Incoming Chico State freshmen come from all over California to participate. The boot camp runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 8 to Aug. 2. The camp focuses on mathematical problem solving and explorations in preparation for calculus. The goal of LSAMP is to increase the number of bachelor’s degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics awarded to minority students.

There are 16 students still in need of housing for the duration of the camp. If you are interested in being a student housing sponsor or you would like more information, please contact Lori Holcombe at 530-898-4175.
