CSU Affordable Learning Solutions webinar, Thursday, May 23

A key goal of the CSU’s Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$) initiative (http://als.csuprojects.org) is to support faculty choosing quality course materials that are more affordable for their students. This webinar series is designed to support your campus communities implementing your own AL$ activities.

AL$ has launched the Rent Digital program which offers students the option to rent digital versions of textbooks at a cost savings of 60% or more off the price of purchasing the new print textbook http://als.csuprojects.org/rentdigital . Through CSU’s agreements with Cengage Learning, CourseSmart, Follett, Barnes & Noble, Schlager Milestone Documents, and W. W. Norton, faculty and students have access to over 40,000 popular e-textbooks at discounted prices for fall 2013.

AL$-Rent Digital Webinar Series:  The webinars provide an overview of AL$, share examples of successful campus efforts to lower the cost of course materials, and demonstrate commercial eReader tools provided by publishers and e-textbook distributors. We will also dedicate time to address your questions, comments, or concerns.
