Build a Mason Bee House- May 25
Buzz in to Gateway Science Museum to learn about mason bees and their importance as pollinators and build a mason bee house. A mason bee is a very special type of bee that is named for its habit of making compartments of mud in its nests, which are made in hollow reeds or holes in wood that were dug out by wood-boring insects.
Help us build mason bee houses that will be installed in the newly-opened Gateway Pollinator Garden. These houses will serve as important habitats for some of our favorite pollinator friends, the mason bees!
May 25, 1pm-3pm. Education Station activities are free with membership or paid admission to Gateway Science Museum, 625 Esplanade (next to Bidwell Mansion).
