Bb Learn upgrade Thurs., May 30

Bb Learn will be upgraded on Thursday, May 30 from 5:00 am to 9:00 am. During this time the system will be unavailable, but all other campus systems are unaffected. After the upgrade, Bb Learn will have some new features and changes. Faculty who are still grading assignments in Bb Learn should be aware that the assignment grading interface will be upgraded. Learn more about the upgrade and these new features on the TLP blog: http://blogs.csuchico.edu/tlp/?p=2878.

The first time you log in after May 30, faculty and students will be given the option to tour the new My Blackboard menu which provides a central way to navigate between courses, the calendar, notifications, and the retention center. You will also be prompted to set up a “profile” on Bb Learn. You can skip this step and return to it in the future if you wish.

TLP will be offering “What’s New in Blackboard Learn” sessions for faculty later in the summer, but the TLP lab staff will be available to help faculty begin using the new features immediately after the upgrade and all summer during our regular hours, 9:00am to 5:00pm on Monday through Thursday beginning June 3. We hope you’ll find the continued improvement and expansion of our Blackboard Learn system serves your teaching well.
