Webinar ~ Reaching "Search and Shop" Students: Increasing Conversions by Rewarding Word-of-Mouth Referrals
Thursday, June 13 • 11am–12pm • Continuing Education 107
While notoriously difficult to track initial origin of a lead, many Continuing & Online Education (COE) units are anecdotally reporting one-fifth to one-third of enrollments coming from word of mouth referrals (friends, colleagues, family) without any real investment in time or resources to date. Examining word-of-mouth’s conversion rates (for many institutions, higher than any other source) and marginal expense (if any), COE leaders are wondering if they’ve been under-valuing such a reliable and cost-effective lead source—and worrying that they’re falling behind peers and competitors who are designing incentives and follow-up mechanisms for increasing word-of-mouth enrollments while decreasing marketing costs.
This webinar presented by the Education Advisory Board examines how breakthrough-practice institutions encourage current students, alumni, and even prospects to recommend the institution to their network, as well as how innovators create follow-up structures designed to convert high-quality, word-of-mouth leads. Non-COE staff and administrators are encouraged to attend.
Key questions addressed in this session:
- What types of email content are recipients most likely to forward to friends?
- How do leading schools best leverage the enthusiasm and support of those who have just graduated?
- What incentives ensure that the most-networked and motivated alumni provide a higher volume of referrals?
There is no need to register and no fee to attend. Join us!
