Call for Proposals: 2015 CELT Conference
The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching invites proposals for the 21st annual CELT Conference, October 8-9. The theme of the conference is “Academic Tenacity: True Grit for Learning.” Recent work on the psychology of learning indicates that non-cognitive factors—motivation, habits of self-discipline, self-perception, and beliefs about learning itself—are vital to academic achievement. How can course design, classroom practice, and student support systems be leveraged to foster academic tenacity?
Proposals are welcomed from CSU Chico faculty, staff, students, and administrators, as well as from professionals in K-12, community colleges, and other institutions of higher education. View the full call for proposals here. Send your completed submission as an email attachment to CELT@csuchico.edu by 5 PM on April 22, 2015.
