Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive Program
CSU, Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Program (CDIP) 2012-2013 applications are now available online.
The purpose of this program is to provide financial assistance in the form of a loan of up to $30,000 to students pursuing doctoral degrees. If a participant accepts a tenure-track CSU instructional faculty position after completion of the doctoral degree, 20 percent of the loan will be forgiven for each year of full-time postdoctoral teaching employment in the CSU. Although recipients are not obligated to return to a CSU after completion of their doctoral degree. If they do not, the low interest load is paid off over a 15 year period.
Those individuals who will be new or continuing full-time students in doctoral programs at accredited universities anywhere in the United States during the 2012-2013 academic year may apply. CDIP is designed as a recruitment incentive program open to all graduate students at accredited institutions who are not probationary or tenured faculty members in the CSU. Lecturers intending to pursue or already pursuing a doctoral degree are eligible and encouraged to apply.
The CSU, Chico campus deadline for the application package is Friday, February 17, 2012 by 4:00 p.m. Submit the application to the Office of Graduate Studies, Student Service Center, room 460 on or before the deadline date.
