Fresh Pick: Tonight’s the Night

Place your order by midnight tonight with CSU, Chico’s Center for Healthy Communities (CHC) to enjoy next week’s Fresh Pick take-home dinner entrées—Tuesday’s Butter Lettuce Wraps and Thursday’s Shredded Pork and Roasted Veggie Enchiladas, also available without pork. Both entrée choices are $9.

Butter Lettuce Wraps, available next Tuesday, May 31, include your choice of either chicken or tofu sautéed with diced Cremini mushrooms, carrots, water chestnuts, and green onions in garlic-ginger sauce. Everything is then wrapped in crisp butter lettuce leaves, topped with a dash of Sriracha, and served alongside orange slices and Asian-style vegetable and linguini pasta salad.

Next Thursday’s Shredded Pork and Roasted Veggie Enchiladas feature fresh shredded pork, roasted zucchini, bell pepper, sweet onion, and black beans wrapped in corn tortillas and topped with cilantro, goat cheese, and roasted red-pepper sauce. Or opt for the meatless Roasted Veggie and Black Bean Enchiladas. Both choices are served with cilantro-lime brown rice and a crisp salad with cilantro vinaigrette.

Place your order online, then pick up your fresh, ready-to-eat meals at the CHC’s downstairs office, 25 Main Street, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. next Tuesday and/or Thursday, or drop in the following day if that’s more convenient.
