Today is Deadline for Next Week’s Fresh Pick Entrees

Place your order today with CSU, Chico’s Center for Healthy Communities (CHC) to purchase next week’s Fresh Pick take-home dinner entrées—Tuesday’s Savory Loaf and Thursday’s BBQ Bowl. Both entrée choices are $9 each.

For Savory Loaf on Tuesday, choose either traditional home-style meatloaf (lean ground beef baked with diced roasted bell peppers, onion, and celery) or garden-veggie Loaf (meatless with mushrooms, asparagus, roasted bell peppers, walnuts, panko bread crumbs, fresh basil, and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese). Both are topped with a savory tomato Dijon red sauce and served with fresh sautéed green beans and rustic mashed potatoes with garlic and herbs.

Thursday’s BBQ Bowl features pan-roasted chickpeas in barbeque sauce, tomatoes, avocado, ranch-style hummus, and shredded carrots served over mixed greens, served with caramelized onion and cheese polenta wedges. For an extra $2 add BBQ chicken.

Place orders online and pay (credit cards and PayPal accepted) by midnight tonight, then pick up your fresh, ready-to-eat meals at the CHC’s downstairs office, 25 Main Street, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. next Tuesday and/or Thursday.
