Upcoming 2013 March Workshops for the Chico State Herbarium

Please help us get the word out about our upcoming March workshops. The proceeds from our workshops help pay for the Herbarium curator so the herbarium can be open each Friday at Chico State. Thanks. Linnea Hanson, board member of Friends of the Chico State Herbarium.  

Introduction to Lichen Identification by Tom Carlberg.  March 9, 2013. For most people lichens are only colorful blotches on rocks or just moss-like stuff on tree branches. But lichens are a unique association between a fungus and an algae.  This workshop will explore the basics of lichens in the lab in Holt Hall and also in the field from 9am to 4pm in Holt 129 at CSU Chico. Registration is $100.00 personal, $125.00 business, and $90.00 for members.  Please register in advance.
