The CSU, Chico Interdisciplinary Center on Aging presents: Communities Against Senior Exploitation: Prevent Fraud, Scams, and Identity Theft

Did you know? At least 1 in 9 Americans over the age of 60 has experienced some form of elder abuse.

Creating communities against senior exploitation is vital to prevent fraud, scams, and identity theft. A panel of experts will talk about early intervention and how that can result in loss prevention. Tips and strategies to be a good neighbor will also be shared.

Speakers: Shirley Krohn (Senior Assembly Member, California Senior Legislature), Bruce Wristen (Investigative Lieutenant, Butte County District Attorney’s Office), Ethel Byers (Butte County Deputy, Public Administrator/Public Guardian/Public Conservator (PA/PG/PC), Charles Coleman (Social Worker, Butte County Adult Protective Services), and Det. Matt Rackley, Butte County Sheriff’s Office
