Come to the North State Symphony's Chamber Music Concert on Sunday!

Four of the leading classical musicians in the North State will perform during the North State Symphony’s Eastern Europe-flavored chamber music concert, “Experience the Intimate.”

Performances take place Saturday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Redding’s Old City Hall, and Sunday, October 14 at 2 p.m. in CSU, Chico’s Rowland-Taylor Recital Hall.

Butte County residents Natalya Shkoda, piano, and Susie Lundberg, oboe join Humboldt County players Terrie Baune, violin and Carol Jacobson, cello in a program that North State Symphony maestro Kyle Wiley Pickett calls “stirring and serious.”

Shkoda, a native of the Ukraine, is Assistant Professor of Piano and Coordinator of Keyboard Studies at CSU, Chico. The other three musicians are all principal players in the North State Symphony. The concert features two trios, by Russian Dmitri Shostakovich and Polish-Lithuanian Grażyna Bacewicz, as well as a duo by the French composer Maurice Ravel for violin and cello.
