African American Retreat Registration DUE January 31st

African American Retreat, “My Community is My Family: Making things C.L.E.A.R (Communication, Love, Education, Achievement, Responsibility)” is designed to provide a safe, open, and honest space for Chico State African American students to build relationships with their peers and potential mentors. In this space, students will have the opportunity to reclaim the love and unity between black women and men, build stronger interpersonal relationships between their peers, and understand a new definition of African American student success. While gaining insight in these areas, students will get an opportunity to meet their peers, build relationships with faculty, staff, & community members for future mentorship, and gain an understanding of campus resources that are beneficial to enriching their college experience as CSU, Chico.

The retreat will occur Friday, February 7th-February 9th in Shady Creek Nevada City, CA. To participate in this meaningful experience register at the Cross-Cultural Leadership Center (CCLC) in Meriam Library 172 (across from the BMU Marketplace. $20 registration fee is required and includes travel, all meals and lodging. This is due by January 31st @ 5PM. Scholarships are available. Space is limited.
