Reserve Your Space for a Solar Cooking Workshop Oct. 13

Interested in sustainable coking? Todd Harris, local sustainability advocate and experienced builder of solar cookers, will lead this workshop on the science and engineering of a simple solar cooker using low-cost readily available materials. Following step-by-step instructions and patterns, each participant will construct their own solar cooker and enjoy a taste-test of food cooked using a solar cooker during the event.

Learn about the power of the sun and build your own solar cooker to take home!

There are 15 spaces available, which will be filled on a first-paid, first-served basis.

This activity is appropriate for visitors ages 12 to adult. Cost is $25 ($20 for museum members) and includes materials for one solar oven and museum admission.
