Faculty Opportunity: Textbook Alternatives Project 2
Chico's Affordable Learning Solutions Program Awarded Grant Money for Faculty Participants Willing to Save Students Money on Textbook Replacements
The CSU’s Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$) program awarded CSU, Chico’s local Affordable Learning program (CALS) a grant for $19,750 to expand and further develop the current CALS/TAP program. Applications for the grants will be available starting in Fall, 2014.
This follows the successful completion of CALS first major project, the Textbook Alternatives Project's (TAP) in the fall of 2013. Eight grants were funded for TAP, and seven of the eight projects provided new, more affordable alternatives to their old textbooks, resulting in an estimated total savings of over $43,600 for just one semester, for our students.
