Update to Prior Announcement re: City of Chico Tree Work; Near BMU at 2nd and Chestnut

The City of Chico will be removing two trees along 2nd and Chestnut adjacent to the BMU. Their tree trimming contractor, George Salinas Tree Preservation, will remove the trees tomorrow, Wednesday, July 30th, starting at 7:00 am (moved back one day from the 29th to the 30th due to equipment failure). The job should be completed by the close of business on Wednesday- the same day.


The City has also scheduled tree trimming (for safety pruning, dead branch removal, and limb weight reduction) in the same vicinity for Thursday, July 31st, starting at 7:00 am. This work should be completed by mid-day on Friday, August 1st.


Please be advised to avoid this work zone while the tree work is being performed and plan your alternate routes safely.
