Fall 2013 MWOW Lecture Series Continues Wednesday, Oct. 16
The Museum Without Walls lecture series, “What’s Underfoot”, continues this Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Gateway Science Museum, with “Earthquakes Happen: How Safe are We?”, presented by Dr. Curt Haselton, Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Civil Engineering, Chico State.
“Earthquakes Happen: How Safe are We?” promises to be informative and engaging. Dr. Haselton is actively involved in numerous state and federal working groups and projects focused on standards, and the use of simulation and modeling to assess collapse safety.
Presentations begin at 7:30pm at the Gateway Science Museum, 625 Esplanade.
A donation of $3 per adult is requested. This event is free to members and students with a valid student ID.
