Mental Health First Aid Certification Training
Back by popular demand! We have a few spaces for both Students and Staff/Faculty in Both Trainings! - Sometimes First Aid isn’t a bandage, or CPR, or the Heimlich. Sometimes First Aid is You. Chances are you know someone experiencing a substance use or mental health disorder. You can help them. The groundbreaking evidence-based public education program Mental Health First Aid teaches you about common warning signs and risk factors for mental health and substance use problems and provides a five step action plan and resources for helping someone in crisis. *Graduating participants receive a nationally recognized Certification that is renewable every three years. The Campus Alcohol and Drug Education Center and the UMatter initiative are thrilled to offer this evidence-based Certification Training FREE to all students through funding from the California Mental Health Services Act and support from the CSU Chancellor's Office.
