Grant Opportunity for Undergraduate Students!

Funds have been allocated by Provost Belle Wei for the Spring 2013 and Summer 2013 Undergraduate Awards for Research & Creativity! These awards were created to support undergraduate students working closely with individual faculty members on student-designed projects and to assist the faculty in providing students with special innovative learning opportunities.

•     Spring awards of up to $500 each and Summer stipends of $2,000 each will be made available to undergraduates (including graduating seniors).

•     A cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above is required.

Information and applications can be found by visiting: Deadlines for submission of applications are no later than 5:00pm Thursday 3/14/13 for spring or Thursday 3/28/13 for summer. You do not need to be an Honors student to apply.

Informal informational meetings are scheduled for Monday, 3/4/13 from 12-1pm, and Thursday, 3/7/13 from 1-2pm. Both will be held in SSC 490. All though it is not mandatory, interested applicants are encouraged to attend one of the above meetings.

These awards are an exceptional and unique opportunity for students to create their own research or creative projects under the guidance of a faculty advisor.
