Museum movie showing, Sept. 21
Against the backdrop of the museum’s current exhibit, Geographies of the Imagination, the Valene L. Smith Museum of Anthropology will show the movie Missing.

It is based on the true story of American journalist Charles Horman, who disappeared in the bloody aftermath of the US-backed Chilean coup of 1973 that deposed the democratically elected socialist President Salvador Allende. CSUC Professor of Spanish Dr. Pilar Alvarez will provide an introduction to the movie, set the scene of what was going on during this turbulent time in Chile.
The movie and exhibition are free and open to the public. Popcorn and soda will be provided.
