Meeting-Embodied: Living the Health At Every Size Way
Are you tired of judging yourself and others for not measuring up to the “ideal” body weight, size, or type? Interested in a student club that promotes positive body image and healthy behaviors using the Health at Every Size®* approach?
The new Embodied: Living the Health At Every Size Way student organization will meet on Monday, September 30, 6-7 pm in Plumas 106. All majors are welcome and you can come for as long as your schedule allows. Be a part of the planning for this academic year. For more information please contact Dr. Michelle Morris, 898-4757 or email@example.com
* The HAES® paradigm is based on the premise that the best way to improve health is to honor your body. HAES encourages:
-Accepting & respecting the natural diversity of body sizes & shapes ;
-Eating in a flexible manner that values pleasure & honors internal cues of hunger, satiety & appetite; and
-Finding the joy in moving one’s body & becoming more physically vital.
