Free Individual Therapy Sessions
Students and community members can receive free therapy sessions on campus conducted by advanced graduate trainees presently enrolled in CSU, Chico’s Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program or Pupil Personnel Services graduate program.
All issues discussed in therapy sessions are confidential. Clients or their guardians (if clients are under the age of 18) are asked to sign a consent form allowing the trainee’s supervisor and 3-7 other trainees, all in the same practicum course, to occasionally review videos made of the sessions. This is done for the purposes of supervision and training only. No trainee or supervisor is allowed to discuss therapy sessions outside of this small group of people, except where disclosure of confidential information is required by law.
For more information or to sign up come by the Counselor Training Center (CTC) office at AJH 111A, or contact the CTC coordinator at 530-898-5149 or CTC@csuchico.edu.
