NAKland Children's Carnival- Volunteer Opportunities, 5/4

Are you part of a student organization or are you seeking volunteer opportunities for your major?

The Gentlemen of Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc. are seeking student organizations or Chico State students of all majors to volunteer for their annual NAKland Children’s Carnival that will be hosted Sunday, May 4th, 2014 from 1pm-4pm at the Children’s Park.

NAKland Children’s Carnival is an event where we celebrate the Latin American Holiday “Dia de Los Niños” (Children’s Day). We celebrate this holiday by providing carnival games, giving away food and toys to the children, and providing cultural performances that are showcased by Chico State student organizations and organizations from the community.

We would like to invite any Chico State student organization or any Chico State student to participate in this year’s NAKland Children’s Carnival. Student organizations are given a booth in which they provide a carnival game appropriate for children ages 3-12. Individual volunteers will be interacting directly with children that attend the event, and help us with various aspects of our event.

If you have any questions or if you are interested, organizations and volunteers need to contact Jose Perez by email at or through phone at (530) 801-1289 before April 25th, 2014. We know that together, we can make a difference in our Chico State community.
