Cultural event dates: Gender and Sexuality Equity Center

As you begin preparing your coursework for spring, please consider incorporating the AS Gender and Sexuality Equity Center events into your syllabi and calendars.

  • Internship Fair: January 24th, 2:00pm-4:00pm in BMU 005

At our bi annual internship fair students will have the opportunity to learn about the GSEC’s services, our LGBTQ+ Program and Women’s program, and pick up or drop off an internship application. Applications will be available in BMU 005 and are due Monday, January 27th by 4:00pm.

  • Vagina Monologues: Feb 14th & 15th (2 evenings, 1 matinee shows)

GSEC presents our annual celebration of V-Day’s “The Vagina Monologues”, which talks about sexual abuse, women’s libido and women’s experiences.


  • Speaker Laci Green: March 13th

As part of U-matter, the GSEC is bringing Youtube sensation Laci Green to campus to talk about sex and consent.

  • Trans* Conference: March 29th, 1:00-5:00pm in BMU auditorium

The GSEC will be hosting our first annual Trans* Conference to focus on issues surrounding trans* identified people.

  • Take Back the Night: April 3rd

Take Back the Night is an opportunity for students and community members to unite to break the silence surrounding the ongoing issue of violence against women and rape culture.


  • Women’s Conference: April 27th

Focusing on women in politics, the GSEC’S Women’s Program will be bringing political speakers and programming by Elect Her to campus.

  • Maggie and Milk Awards: May 4th

The Maggie and Milk Awards is an annual awards ceremony celebrates the feminist, LGBTQ+ and allied community.
